Seminários de Teoria dos Modelos 13 de Março 2009, 14h00 Abstract: This is a continuation of part I, but hopefully I can make it partially independent, still trying to minimize the prerequisites. We continue the investigation of definable groups in o-minimal structures. After the proof the compact domination conjecture by Hrushowski, Peterzil and Pillay, a new approach to the fundamental group of a definable group becomes possible. I will present some new results in collaboration with M. Mamino on this topic. Extending to the non-abelian case a previous result with M. Otero we give a complete determination of the definable homotopy type of a definably compact group. | back |
